Dr. Caitlyn Carroll was born and raised on her family’s horse farm in Kentucky. Caitlyn’s love of animals was obvious from an early age when she brought home injured calves, rats, kittens, dogs, and even tried to save lightening bugs. Any animal in need of saving or nursing became her project.
Caitlyn competed in horse shows throughout her life. After completing her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston in 2003 she followed her love of animals to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her DVM in 2007.
She practiced for 6 years in Nashville before moving to North Carolina. She practices small animal medicine and surgery and has a special interest in dentistry, endocrinology, internal medicine and pain management.
She enjoys great music and traveling the world. She can often be found riding, boating or walking around Wrightsville beach with her rescued fur children, Shrimp (6 year old miniature dachshund) and Ellie (11 year old great dane mix).
