Dr. Arynn O’Kane will join the Hanover team as a veterinarian in April 2024, from Cary, NC. We are all looking forward to her soon becoming a part of the Hanover family and getting to meet our great group of Pet Parents!

Dr. O'Kane was born in Myrtle Beach, SC but moved from place to place growing up, living in 7 different states throughout her life she is happy to call Wilmington, NC home! 

She wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 10 years old. She always loved animals but hadn’t thought of it as a career until a family friend asked if she dreamed of being one, and it was like a lightbulb went off in her head!

Dr. O’Kane graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal science with emphasis in companion animals, and then graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in small animal medicine.

Dr. O’Kane is excited to engage with her patients and clients and build lasting relationships! Herareas of interest are dentistry, animal behavior, and cardiology.

When Dr. O’Kane is not working she enjoys painting, being outside (long walks on the beachare her favorite) and relaxing with a good book. She also loves traveling, especially internationally! Her favorite trip was backpacking through Ireland for 2 weeks. 

She has a two year old fur-baby named Finnegan who also enjoys helping at the clinic!
